A Paragon Incentive System that encourages making Alts, and leveling up existing strong heroes.

Presenting this idea to Blizzard, free to be modified according to their balancing tenets:

Here's a Paragon Incentive System that encourages making Alts, and leveling up existing strong heroes:

The Paragon Levels of your Alts are added up, and translates to bonus %experience to the current character you're playing.

For example, let's say I have:
  • Demon Hunter @ Paragon 100
  • Wizard @ Paragon 73
  • Barbarian @ Paragon 8

Total Paragon = 100+73+8 = 181. Let's say the formula is: 10% of the Total Paragon is the bonus experience for playing.

Then a create a new Witch Doctor. When I play this, I have 18.1% bonus experience (additive)

If I continue playing Barb, the computation becomes 100+73 = 173 (we didn't include the Barb's Paragon itself). Barb's XP bonus is 17.3%

Advantages:
  • Rewards the time investment you've put in leveling up your characters.
  • The more you play, the easier it becomes to level up.
  • Lesser need to use Ruby on Helm / Cain's Set / Leoric's Signet -- opens up more gearing options.
