It's not particularly fast, but it's faster than most other ways I've found, and safer!
Right now at 69 I'm getting 14m exp every 2-3 minutes. Don't really get any gold or items.
Start a quest in act 1:1 Rumford at the Gate on Normal Talk to Rumford, and kill the Wretched Mother After, go and kill 2 of the 3 Wretched Mothers for the secondary quest that pops up, DO NOT KILL THE THIRD, IT'S IMPORTANT. After killing 2, leave the game. Change your difficulty to torment 6, and resume the game. Pull the wretched mother that is right outside town, towards the gate, you need to get her inside the town, and she auto dies, completing the quest.
I've done it from level 1 on my Wizard, only taken me about 2 hours to get to almost 70 now. 0 deaths.
I could be wrong and this could just be a guide, but I'm not positive if quests are supposed to reset upon changing difficulty when leaving the game. Either way, a neat little trick that works pretty well.
Here is a simple spreadsheet to depress everyone who plays Diablo 3. This spreadsheet helps you calculate how long it will take to get to Paragon level 100.
You can enter how much exp you farm per hour on average, your current Paragon level, and your current experience (how far into current level you are). It will then spit out how many days and weeks left until Paragon level 100.
You can also customize it for your playtime. So if you play 3 hours a day 6 days a week, you plug those numbers in and it will tell you how long you have until you hit 100.
Let me know what you think, and if you find errors PLEASE let me know! I tested this a lot, but there may still be mistakes. I am confident the exp values are correct though (total exp needed and your total exp).
Helm with red gem + items with xp bonus (you can find while running or you can spend 100k on ah for set..)
Level 60 weapon with lvl reduction (best 18 for lvl 42)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PROS: 200k xp -5 min,
CONS: Requires some investment (100-200k gold for lvl 1-40 gear) (2-4 mill lvl 42 weapons with lvl reduction)
So its simple just get some early to lvl 15-20 than just go Act 3 crater lvl 2 - quick run there than teleport to last waypoint kill mobs there and than just kill azmodan.
1-60 in 7 hours.
longest part was getting lvl 15 .
Another trublesome part is Hell dificulty ye runing and kiling everything might be dificult but t.y for blizard lvl reduction on ITEMS.
personaly i bought 2 weapons for 4 milion each 900 dps 1 handers ( i made profit of them 50 mils mace was with 100% crit 900 dps loh and stats + 520 lighting dps and 150 vit bought for 2 mill)
After you get those items you just can roflstomp. And i used gear +xp boost.
i was getting about 200k each run took about 4 mins each tho i did with Barbar other classes might be harder not shure.
i was surprised than i got those insane Xp bonuses 11-15k bonus just from multiple kills 70-90 mobs killed. and its easy bcs of those spider packs which are very big and die
This is an ultra short guide. If you want a much more indepth guide, I recoment you check out Diablo 3 Hero, who has the, by far, best in most in depth power leveling guide to the game ( They also have tons of other things to, but let's focus on leveling which this topic here). They have a60 days money back guarantee, so you have nothing to loose trying it out. Anyways Back to the topic.
I know a lot of methods have been getting nerfed over the past few weeks, but now things are settling and I think we can pool together a bunch of methods into one guide. We should combine methods, times when to change acts/difficulties, and times we should upgrade gear.
So far I have been playing on a new character and have gotten to lvl 19 in two hours (easily could have been lvl 20 if I had done things differently). So I'll start us off with the methods that I have done and then edit in other methods I come across...
[Normal] Level 1 - Level 10:
Act 1 - Play through the game and get to Leroic's Manor as quick as possible. Kill enemies, but don't explore random caves and areas. Try to stick to main roads. Pick up only gear that will benefit you until level 10.
[Normal] Level 10 - Level 20
Act 1 - Leoric's Manor. Kill as many enemies as possible, teleport to town and repeat. Buy XP gear and at lvl 15 buy a helm with a socket and put the best ruby you can afford in. At about lvl 17 each run only nets 1/2 to 2 bars of XP.
[Normal] Level 15 - Level 25
Act 2 - Maghda Runs
[Normal] Level 20 - Level 30
Act 1 - Zul Kul Runs.
[Nightmare] Level 30 - Level ??
Act 1 - Leoric's Manor. Same as before, repeat and kill as many enemies in the manor and remake game.
[Nightmare] Level 30/40 - Level 50
Act 3 - Quest 1 & 2. Start from Siege of Bastion and progress as far as possible. If you die restart and make a new game (unless checkpoint is near where you died). Might be slow XP at first and high possiblity of death, but once you get to higher levels it will become easier and you can progress to the end of the second quest. After completing the second quest, remake a new game. This method is very focused on killing mobs rather than repeating quests.
[Hell] Level 50 - Level 60
Act 3 - Quest 1 & 2. This will net you a lot of XP, but might be hard at lower levels. Max out in XP gear and try for a high DPS build with AOE. If you die, just teleport back home and create a new game (unless spawn is near where you died).
[Hell] Level 50 - Level 60
Act 3 - Leech. Have a level 60 friend kill as many enemies as possible. Start the game late in act 3 and visit many of the hotspot areas with lots of enemies such as Arreat Crater (list of other areas?). Should gain XP fast, level from 50 - 51 in about 4 minutes.
[Hell] Level 50 - Level 60
Act 1 - Leoric's Manor (Hell). Same method as before, kill as many enemies inside the manor, tp out, make new game.
[Hell] Level 50 - Level 60
Act 2 - Lieutenant Vachem. Start and repeat quest, rinse and repeat. Each quest turn in nets 50k XP and roughly 20k-30k off enemies.
Items: Items are up for discussion, but it is wise to always have a socketed helm with the highest ruby gem you can afford and to have a strong, yet cheap, weapon to help you advance. XP gear is also a big bonus to leveling quickly. Most people say to upgrade your XP gear once every 10 levels to keep it up to date.
In addition to this, once you hit level 45 you can start looking at the Auction House for reduced requirement weapons. Although rare, some level 16 weapons can have up to 16 reduced level requirement (but in most cases they have low DPS and are expensive). Best thing to do is put in max buyout on how much you are willing to spend and start at the highest level and keep going down until you see a decent weapon at a decent price. In my experiences, you can't do wrong with a 300 DPS weapon until Infero, so if you can get your hands on that then you are in the good for some serious mob killing.
This little guide was made by a good friend of the blog. Check it out
To get the most out of this tip, you first and foremost need a high level friend. This friend is going to do the killing. Then 2 other friends, the level of those doesn’t really matter, but sub 60 is best, since they also get XP.
To start off, you can go normal difficulty, but later you will need nightmare and perhaps hell. But switch over to those setting when the XP stop increasing.
Ok, the quest is Act II part 8 step 3 (The black soulstone).
Now to the tricky part, and you need to hold focus here.
Your team is 4 players, and we are going to name them, so we can tell them apart.
Grunskulle (Your level 60 player)
Migidiot (That’s you, the weaker dude :P)
Timeflake
Dr.Roth
Now you are set, so let’s begin.
Grunskulle makes the game, everybody enters the game. Grunskulle goes down and kills the boss. (Zoltun Kulle). You don’t have to accept the boss event. If the players don’t have the waypoint, “flag-down” t o Grunskulle. But do not, NOT, take the soulstone.
When the boss is killed, and the quest is updated. Everybody, except Grunskulle, leaves the game.
You, Timeflake and Dr.Roth resumes the game, the next part happens in steps, to get the most out of the trick.
Now there are 4 games running, so we need to turn the quest in, but again in steps.
You go down and get the soulstone, to ticker the next part of the quest.
You can now talk to Adria, to finish the quest and get the xp.
Leave your game and join Timeflakes game, he will then get the soulstone. Then you leave Timeflakes game and resume the game. Then you turn in the quest and get the xp.
Then go back to Timeflakes game, and guess what, turn in the quest, and get the xp.
Now it will get interesting…
You and Timeflake go in to Dr.Roths game, he will get the soulstone, Timeflake and you leave the game, and resumes. You turn in the quest, get the xp. Leave and go to Timeflakes game, you both turn in (xp). You both leave and go to Dr.Roths game and you all turn in the quest. (xp)
Then you go back to the original game (Grunskulles), Grunskulle gets the soulstone, and You, Timeflake and Dr.Roth leaves. All players resumes, you turn in the quest (xp), and leaves. Go to Timeflakes game, turn in and xp. You and Timeflake goes to Dr.Roths game, turns in (xp) and you three goes to Grunskulles game, turns in and xp for the last time.
I did type xp a lot, but is just to visualize the amount of turn-ins you get from this. I count 11 ! And yes you also get gold from this ! So that’s not bad at all. The xp for the turn-in scale with level, at level 12 it’s 7700 xp and 980 gold. At level 13 it’s 8050 xp and 1000 gold. 14 = 8400 xp and 1020 gold.
This trick works the same way as the trick we posted yesterday, but this time as a larger group. Once again we are back in Act 3 killing Azmodan on Nightmare mode. This works on Normal as well, but you get less exp. Here is the run down:
Group up with a party of at least 2 people.
Lets say you use 4, lets call them P1, P2, P3 and P4.
Kill Azmodan, but do NOT complete the quest.
P1 is getting boosted first.
P2 P3 P4 all leave the game, and create a new game through RESUME GAME.
P1 completes both quests leading up to act 4.
P1 Leaves his game, and joins P2.
P1 and P2 complete both quest leading up to act 4.
P1 and P2 join P3 in his game.
P1, P2 and P3 repeat the same step...
P1 P2 P3 join P4 repeat...
Rotate players
Repeat.
This gives up to 360k xp for player 1, 270k for player 2, 180k for player3 and the original 90k for player 1. Rotate this and see the exp explode.
This trick is perfect for boosting your toons that's not already level 60.
This is 50% my own discoveries and 50% compilation of other people's "guides".
The fastest way I've found to level so far, while getting decent items/gold is to do this loop on Normal till you can breeze through NM, and then do it again on NM till you cna breeze through Hell.
Start at Act III, 7. Kill Azmodan.
Run by all the monsters unless you encounter elite mobs.
Nuke down Azmodan, then immediately bypass the cutscene with space or escape.
Grab his soul and your loot, then teleport back to the stronghold.talk to the guard spamming though his dialogue with space or esc then run to the armory, then the watchtower.
Skip through the cut scene, then run through the portal.
Run up to Tyrael, spam through his dialogue then run through the portal, spam through dialogue and kill Iskatu.
Rince and repeat.
This will net you a healthy amount of XP, gold, items, and is higher XP/h than just Azmodan or Isatu runs.
If you are going for the Wizard at launch on Diablo 3 then this build should help you and give you a few tips that you can use to level faster.
The Wizard in Diablo 3 makes for an awesome AOE class and this build what we will try and do is up your survivability a little. We all know that the Wizard is about damage output but it does take a bit of a hit on survival and how many hits you can take so this build should help.
We will run through the Wizard skills from 1-10 to start off with:
When you start out with the Wizard you will get a set of active and passive skills.
The main ones you want to focus on are Magic Missile to begin with this is a ranged attack that does 110% weapon damage you can also add the Split rune skill as well as that will make your Magic Missile fork into 5 projectiles doing 66% weapon damage each.
Wave of Force is the next will you want to use and this one will be of use for both defence and offense.
When it is cast it deals 220% weapon damage to all enemies in front of you.
It will also repel incoming attacks and gives you a nice knockback so you can keep the same distance from your enemy.
Best Skill Rune here is Impactful Wave as it will not only knockback enemies but also stun them too.
This helps as it gives you more time to unleash attacks.
Next up to finish off the 1-10 leveling guide and your best skills you should take note of the Passive skill you have which is Power Hungry.
This gives you 30 arcane power every time you heal from a health orb so that little boost to your AP does wonders when you are leveling up in the early stages.
If you use these skills you should find yourself at level 10 in no time!
We will go through the leveling skills from 10-20 tomorrow and you should be ready for them depending on how long you play during launch day.
Of course if you are not going to be playing the Wizard and you want a guide for another class OR you want the full leveling guide plus a lot more head over to /www.diablo3hero.com ( Try it out, they have a 60 day full refund!)and get ready to speed level on launch day!
