Season 31 of Diablo III: Embrace the Power of the Forbidden Archives

Diablo III continues to evolve with the introduction of Season 31: Season of the Forbidden Archives, set to begin on April 12 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST. This season revisits the innovative theme first seen in Season 20, offering players unprecedented freedom in customizing their gameplay experience through Kanai’s Cube. Here’s a glimpse into the dark and powerful world that awaits Nephalem as they embark on this new season.

Season Theme: Unleashing Forbidden Powers

Season 31, dubbed the Season of the Forbidden Archives, allows players to explore the untapped potential of Kanai’s Cube under the guidance of the infamous Horadrim, Zoltun Kulle. For the duration of the season, the usual restrictions on the Cube’s slots are lifted, enabling adventurers to equip any combination of three additional Legendary powers, regardless of their usual categories. This opens up a realm of possibilities for new builds and strategies, encouraging experimentation and creativity in the battle against the Burning Hells.

Cosmetic Rewards and Season Journey

In keeping with tradition, Season 31 brings back rewards from Season 7, offering players another chance to collect coveted items they may have missed. Additionally, two new cosmetic rewards are introduced for those who complete the entire Season journey: the Valor Portrait Frame and the Angelic Treasure Goblin pet. Alongside these, players can earn the Helm and Shoulders slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set and a series of portrait frames inspired by the Eternal Woods.

Season Journey Rewards and Conquests

Dedicated demon slayers who have consistently reached Conqueror in the Season Journey can look forward to earning an additional stash tab, up to a maximum of five. Season 31 also challenges players with familiar Conquests, such as Sprinter/Speed Racer, Avarice/Avaritia, and The Thrill/Superhuman, each testing the Nephalem’s prowess in unique ways.

Haedrig’s Gift: Class Sets Rotation

Haedrig’s Gift, a staple of the Season Journey, rotates once again, offering a fresh selection of Class Sets for completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4. This season’s sets include Barbarian’s Wrath of the Wastes, Crusader’s Roland’s Legacy, and more, providing a significant power boost to help players tackle the challenges that lie ahead.

Patch 2.7.7 Updates

Accompanying Season 31 is Patch 2.7.7, which introduces gameplay updates and quality-of-life improvements. Notably, the patch adjusts the KR Age Restriction logo and ensures that extra progress orb drops from the Soulshard Stain of Sin are now effective in Challenge Rifts, among other changes.

Conclusion

Season 31: Season of the Forbidden Archives invites Diablo III players to delve deeper into the mysteries of Sanctuary with newfound powers at their disposal. As adventurers harness the unrestricted might of Kanai’s Cube, they will discover new ways to vanquish the darkness that threatens the world. Prepare to answer Sanctuary’s call for aid and embark on a season filled with exploration, power, and rewards.
