Diablo III Season 29: Visions of Enmity Preview

Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the details for Diablo III's Season 29, titled "Visions of Enmity," set to launch on September 15 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST. This season introduces a plethora of changes, including a new theme, gameplay adjustments, and quality-of-life updates.

A Glimpse into the Future:

The Diablo III team has been consistently delivering gameplay-altering themes, quality-of-life updates, and events for the past 11 years. Season 29 sets the foundation for the game's future, introducing the final brand-new theme. Season 30 will not introduce a new theme but will bring back the community-favorite theme, "Rites of Sanctuary," playable across all modes. Subsequent seasons will reintroduce iconic themes and features from past seasons.

Season 29 Theme: Visions of Enmity

Mysterious portals, termed "Diabolical Fissures," have emerged across Sanctuary. Entering these portals will confront players with memories from their past and formidable emissaries of Hell. Players are challenged to step into these fissures, face their past, and combat the forces of Hell.

Cosmetic Rewards:

Season 29 reintroduces long-forgotten treasures:

  • Old Growth pet: A symbol of resilience.
  • Galactic Wings: Traverse the cosmos in style.
  • Greyhollow portrait: Immerse in the game's lore.
  • Quoth pet: A majestic companion for your journey.
  • Mad King’s Favor portrait: Show your allegiance to Leoric.

Season Journey Rewards:

Players can earn additional stash tabs by completing specific challenges:

  • Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII within five minutes.
  • Level three Legendary Gems to level 55.
  • Complete two Conquests this Season.
  • And more...

Solo Self Found Mode:

A new gameplay mode, "Solo Self Found," offers players a single-player experience, challenging them to rely solely on their skills and wits. This mode comes with its own leaderboards and is designed for those seeking a more intense Diablo III experience.

New Monster Affixes:

Monsters within the Visions of Enmity will have new powers, making them even more formidable. These affixes will only be available within the Visions.

Paragon Ceiling Changes:

Changes to Paragon Points have been introduced, allowing players to assign a total of 800 Paragon Points to their Solo Self Found character. This change aims to shift the power from Main Stat grinding to gameplay knowledge and gear hunting.

Community-Led Changes:

Several quality-of-life updates, based on community feedback, have been incorporated. These include changes to specific monster sets, improvements for the Monk and Necromancer classes, and more.

Class Balance Changes:

The upcoming patch introduces balance changes for the Crusader, Demon Hunter, and Witch Doctor classes, aiming to refresh and enhance gameplay for these classes.

Bug Fixes:

Numerous bug fixes have been implemented, addressing issues related to gameplay, stability, and the user interface.
