How to get the murloc pet in Diablo 3!



Aight first of all this item has been in the game for ages and people know about it but its been requeste.

And for the lack of any other guides in this section i guess it doesnt hurt to share it with you guys and maybe someone didnt know about it and will find this helpful!

Current state of the Barbarian in D3



So, I wanted to get your opinion on the current state of the Barbarian in D3. This is not supposed to be a whine thread or something, but I'm playing Barbarian like 90% of my time, as it is the class which is the most fun to me, so I want to shoot out some of my thoughts towards the class.

Right now, it just feels a bit lackluster (You are not alone, monk). I mean, we got that EQ set, yeah, and it also kicks ass, but I don't feel like this should be the way we should go. Our 6 Pieces class set, Raekors, is completely useless compared to the Crusader or Witch doctor one. Actually, there is really only one viable build which is good for playing above T4, and that is EQ, Lut sucks and maybe the IK set.

Compared to other classes this is not really a big variety of options how I can play my barbarian. The 3 most attractive classes right now, WD, Crusader and Wizard, all of them have different styles how you can play them. We are basically piled on going EQ.

I mean, even though this is not that great, I like to play EQ, and I personally don't have much of a problem with it. But many people also want to try to do T5/T6 with lightning barbs, and it just doesn't work too good.

I think one of our main problem is the lack of items which are able to change the way a skill works. And as far as I know, we indeed have the lowest amount of items with such special effects.

I mean the point I am trying to get to is not to say that the barbarian sucks, but rather that we need some aid to make it attractive... We can solo and compete, but it just feels lacking as other classes are much better at doing things we are just mediocre at.

What also bugs me is the way our resource works, especially in group play. In the time im trying to generate wrath (you can pretty much guess how long this takes when taking usual game fps in a party into the calculation), my buddies already shut down everything with damage numbers I'm only capable to throw out like 5 times before it's time to regenerate. My crusader friends doesn't seem to have that problem, according to his neverending rain of blue rays.

[GUIDE] Caverns of Araneae Pattern

I've seen so many people complaining about Kill Queen Araneae bounty, so I decided to make a quickCaverns of Araneae pattern guide I honestly think that finding Araneae is quite easy when we learn the pattern.

Rifts of this area are random.

Loot table community

So this might not be an exploit to speak, but just might be a better way to spend those shards.. It also depends on my understanding of loot tables. As far as i know they are determined from game to game and not differently for each character entering the game.

After looking at the loot tables here Legendary Drop Rates Data - Torment Drop %
i realized that i had already found a lot of the really rare items (focus, 2x Mr yan, 2x Pox faulds, 2x rhimeheart, shard of hate and velvet cameral). I play wizzard BTW  (and i can use 0 of the rare legs found  )

So i thought about making a community where you could write in the chat if you found one of the rare items.. or maybe just a coveted item.

Example:
1) I find The Witching Hour  and now that i got one, im HAPPY
(might decide to gamble for a better before leaving the game though now that it is in the table)

2) I enjoy a coke and decide to share the hapiness, so i write in the comunnity chat "Withcing hour found, table unconfirmed 1", and confirms it with a pic of my WH

3) other ppl who wants to gamble for witching hour joins and gambles (i can leave now). Before the other people leave, they make sure there is at least 1 person left to recruit. that person writes ""Withcing hour found, table unconfirmed 4 (if he is the fouth person, and no WH's are found), OR "Withcing hour found, table confirmed! " if he or someone else has found one.

3) more ppl. enter and if another WH is not found until 10th person, the game is allowed to be left to die if people decides so. (probably not smart loot then)
- generally i think people shouldn't leave until "Withcing hour found, table unconfirmed 10" but something can always get in the way, and it's a free service, so no consequences there.

Well.. that was my thoughts.. any1 want to test with me?

100% AFK Gold / Exp Farm - 4 Mil per Hour

Been messing around looking for exploits lately, and found a nice little spot to farm gold and exp. The exp is pretty minimal, but the gold is pretty good considering you can do it while asleep / at work. Heres the steps:

Required items:
  • Gladiator Gauntlets
  • Custarian Wristguards

  1. Get the bounty for "The Lord of the Hill" in Act 5
  2. Run up to the area and Leap / Teleport to the top. (You may not need leap or teleport, haven't tested it too much yet)
  3. Once up there, ignore the boss and clear out the area. 
  4. Stand in area shown in the screenshot below, and spam AOE moves to kill the enemies.


If done right, the enemies will infinitely get stuck and never be able to hit you, meanwhile you can shove a quarter or rubber band an AOE move like leapquake to kill them and collect gold (since leaping is considered moving, and picks up the gold). Gladiator Gauntlets will keep spawning gold on the ground for getting "Massacre" bonuses. I've been doing it on T6 but I'm not sure if it really matters.

I'm hoping you guys can come up with some more theories / ideas to make this work better since I've only been testing it for the last hour or so.

Quickest Bounty Leveling 1-70 in 2.0.5 (Solo and Powerleveling communities)

Here is a short video showing the fastest bounty to solo powerlevel in the new 2.0.5 patch since the miners gold bounty is nerfed. It goes insanely fast if you utilize the powerleveling communities ingame as well!

First of all, thank you very much for buying Diablo. We have worked hard to create a game that you will want to spend many, many hours playing. To further that end, we have added some features in Diablo that may not be apparent at first glance.

Diablo is a VERY different play experience depending on which character class you choose. The tactics and strategies employed by the Warrior, for instance, would be sheer folly for a Sorcerer to attempt. Many high level items and spells will only be useable by certain classes. After you defeat Diablo, try another game with a different character class.

You won't be disappointed.

Diablo also randomly generates every level of the labyrinth, including the rooms, hallways, lights, shrines, fountains, cauldrons, pools, special themed areas, treasures and monsters. The list just goes on, but what it boils down to is each time you enter a new level within the labyrinth, you will have new things to do and discover.

Finally, Diablo takes on an entirely different feel when you are in a multiplayer game. The interaction that occurs, the new strategies and the difference in how you have to think all make for a very exciting and very new experience.

4 minute active law

O.o I think I somehow produced a bug, just did a T6 rift and then I tab out browse the internet for some time, came back and saw my active law still has 22 seconds until expire (I did not pause the game, the last time I activated it was during the boss fight, so around 1~2min have been passed)

note that: the rune + passive only gives 20 second max active time

ok i have a video record from my stream proof



judging from the icon bar on the video, the law lasted around 4 minutes

and then shortly after the law expired the guy on the bottom right started shooting out beam ->




Did some search, found nothing alike so I figure I should post it? Don't know how to reproduce tho

Easy top end Amulet/rings



In case some of you missed the patch notes the following change has been made:
- Sovereign Rings and Amulets now require Marquise gems instead of Imperial gems

That means that you can craft high quality yellow rings and amulets for the cost on 10k only!

Unless you already have great rings and amulets you can craft easilly some. I managed to craft my amulet after creating 40 (only 400k gold).

For ring you should go for +damage, STR, CC, CD
For amulet +elemental damage, STR, CC, CD

If you don't have the recipes just kill Ghom some times and you will get the eventually.

2.0.5 - 2 small unintended? changes




Illusory boots can now make you pass through walls - probably unintended and might be a result from WD having that ability on spirit walk.

Crusader Akkerat's champion - can now town portal without being interrupted by damage.

Tyrael's mortal form wasn't just some random dude

The Book of Cain has incredible lore and art, One of them includes Uldyssian who's moments away from his self-sacrifice at the end of the Sin War.

It was his sacrifice that made Tyrael vote in favor of humanity, and apparently Tyrael's appearance when he decided to be a mortal.

Here's a blue post confirming that he had control over what he would look like as a mortal.

AFK Legendary Farming 2.0 - New Method



I stumbled across this forum not too long ago, didn't know a site like this existed. I've used a lot of the AFK farming methods mentioned here until they got fixed. Recently I discovered a new method to AFK farm that should not be as easily patched like the others. This method does not get any significant gold or XP, only legs but this is the main goal of AFK farming anyways, as the gold and XP aren't that great in the previous methods. As far as I know, this has not been mentioned elsewhere so I decided to sign up and share this with you guys.

The concept is simple, but the execution takes optimization for your class/skills/gear. Basically, this method takes advantage of the guaranteed leg you get after x hours. Here's a quote from blue on this.


We do have a safety net in place to help even out those long periods without a Legendary drop in the form of (what we call) the “unlucky” bonus. This bonus slowly increases your Legendary drop rate over time and is based on the amount of time you’ve spent fighting monsters without seeing a Legendary drop normally.

This is the basis for all the previous AFK farming methods; it is why killing trash whites will still net legs over time. It seems the timer is roughly 2 hrs before you are guaranteed a leg. However, you DO NOT HAVE TO KILL ANYTHING for the timer to count up, you just have to be engaged in combat. See where I'm going with this? The concept to this method is simple and as follows:

1) Find any large group of monsters (No longer requires infinite spawn locations!)
2) Use a method that will allow you to slowly kill them while afk over several hours
3) ???
4) Profit

Depending on how you do it, a large pack can last for 10+ hours. It will not last indefinitely but will be long enough fort a night's sleep or a day's work. You can easily "reset" by making a new game and starting again. I have done this and gotten the 1 leg/2 hr average that I've been getting with previous infinite spawn AFK methods. The trick is optimizing your set up, but once you do you can start it up trivially.

Here's how I do this with my WD, but this method works with any class. The farm spot I use is A3 Areat Core where it spawns a bunch of those small trash mobs. I stack a lot of LPS and toughness. For my WD passives I use jungle fortitude, blood ritual and physical attunement to stay alive. I also have the ring that doubles your LPS based on your life, forgot the name, as well as St. Andrews Gage for the periodic shield. This shield gives me a buffer time for my LPS to catch up so I stay alive. I also have the shoulder that makes everything not take durability damage.

I run around aggroing everything I can, easily 50+ since there are so many of those little guys. I stick my guy in a corner so I only get attacked by a few at a time while the others wait in line. I spam Hex-Hedge Magic using something to hold down my key to not be afk. Hedge magic is perfect since it summons a guy that does no damage and heals me to stay alive.

For my kill method I use a low level item that has some thorn damage and Bul-Kathos's Wedding Band. Bul-Kathos deals 0.4% of their max life in damage (also heals you, bonus!). Here's a quick table of how much damage Bul Kathos deals by itself:

The ring itself can not kill anything so I use a little thorn damage to finish them off and the first mob dies in about an hour. Since the ring is AOE, once the first one dies, others slowly follow at a steady pace every 10-20 min. I usually wake up to 3/4s dead and several legs. I just remake a game and in 3 min I've aggroed a bunch and set it up again (no more RNG luck to find a specific spawn location anymore!).

So it takes some optimization to get it set up and depends on what gear/skills you have access to, but once you have it down it will work forever. The ring helps, but I'm sure you can figure out another way to do it, be creative.You also might have more luck at different locations and with other mobs. Good luck!
