Baal Is Coming Back to Diablo Immortal With a Revamped Boss Battle

Baal is having a surprisingly busy 2026.

Earlier today, we were discussing whether Diablo II's final boss still offers enough reason to farm him after Terror Zones changed the endgame.

Meanwhile, over in Diablo Immortal, Blizzard has apparently decided that the Lord of Destruction needs another job.

As part of Diablo's 30th Anniversary celebrations, Diablo Immortal will introduce a special revamped Boss Battle with Baal during August.

Blizzard has not revealed exactly how the new encounter will work yet.

But choosing Baal for the anniversary is rather appropriate.

Few demons have spent quite as much time ruining everyone's day.

Baal Is Part of Diablo Immortal's 30th Anniversary

Diablo Immortal's anniversary celebration began on July 29 and continues throughout August.

The festivities already include a free Immortal King-inspired cosmetic set, four consecutive Mirrored Jewels events and a rotating collection of returning activities.

But Blizzard says more is coming.

That includes the revamped Baal fight, the return of Avarice with his swarm of Goblins and additional anniversary content that has not yet been fully detailed.

For now, Blizzard is keeping the exact Baal mechanics under wraps.

So we do not know whether this will be a completely redesigned encounter, an enhanced version of one of his existing fights or something considerably stranger.

We do know that Blizzard is calling it a special revamped Boss Battle rather than simply bringing an old encounter back unchanged.

Baal Is Already Part of Immortal's Story

This is not Baal's first visit to Diablo Immortal.

He appears in Destruction's End, a dungeon set during the events surrounding Tal Rasha and the original imprisonment of the Lord of Destruction.

More importantly, Baal later returned during the Destruction's Wake storyline at the Ancients' Cradle.

There, players encountered him within the shattered realm connected to the Worldstone fragments, with Tyrael also caught in the aftermath of the Worldstone's destruction.

That gave Immortal something Diablo III never really did: another proper confrontation with Baal.

Now Blizzard is going back to him again.

Thirty Years of Diablo Needs Some Old Monsters

Anniversary events can easily become collections of login rewards wearing a birthday hat.

Diablo Immortal is at least digging into the history of the series.

The Immortal King cosmetic reaches directly back to Diablo II.

Baal is returning as a featured boss.

And Avarice brings another familiar piece of Diablo's boss catalogue back into circulation.

It fits a broader trend we are also seeing elsewhere in the series.

Diablo 4 Season 15 is bringing classic items such as the Stone of Jordan back as permanent Legacy Uniques.

Blizzard clearly understands that Diablo's thirtieth anniversary works better when the past actually appears in the games rather than merely being mentioned in a press release.

The Lord of Destruction Still Has Work to Do

Baal remains one of Diablo's most recognisable villains for a simple reason.

He got an entire expansion.

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction turned the third Prime Evil into the final obstacle of one of the most important action RPGs ever made.

Millions of players subsequently spent years repeatedly marching into the Throne of Destruction to kill him for experience and loot.

Ironically, we have just argued that Baal farming in Diablo II: Resurrected no longer feels as rewarding as it once did.

Perhaps Immortal can give him a little dignity back.

Or at least a larger health bar.

Now We Need to See the Fight

The important caveat is that Blizzard has only teased the revamped encounter so far.

There is no detailed mechanic breakdown, reward table or confirmed release date beyond its planned arrival during the August anniversary celebration.

That means there is little value in pretending we already know whether it will be spectacular.

But as anniversary choices go, Baal is difficult to argue with.

Thirty years of Diablo deserves one of its great villains.

And if the Lord of Destruction is going to return yet again, Blizzard might as well make us work for the kill.

Blizzard Entertainment – Celebrate 30 Years of Diablo in Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal Is Bringing Baal Back For Diablo’s 30th Anniversary

Baal is returning to Diablo Immortal as part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebration.

Blizzard has confirmed that August will include a specially revamped boss battle against the Lord of Destruction.

The full details are still being kept behind the gates of Hell.

No exact launch date has been announced. Blizzard has also not revealed the rewards, encounter structure or whether Baal will arrive as a solo challenge, group activity or temporary event boss.

We know he is coming.

We do not yet know how many tentacles the encounter budget has approved.

Baal Returns During The 30th Anniversary Event

Diablo Immortal’s wider anniversary celebration began on July 29 and continues throughout August.

The event already includes free Immortal King-inspired cosmetics, four consecutive Mirrored Jewels events and a rotating schedule of returning activities.

Blizzard says more anniversary content is planned for August, including the revamped Baal encounter and the return of Avarice with his swarm of Treasure Goblins.

Baal is clearly intended to be one of the celebration’s headline attractions.

This Is More Than A Normal Boss Rerun

Blizzard specifically describes the encounter as a revamped boss battle.

That suggests players should expect more than an old model placed inside a familiar arena with additional health.

The most successful anniversary battles use nostalgia as a starting point rather than the entire design.

Baal needs recognisable attacks, modern mechanics and enough pressure to feel like the Lord of Destruction rather than a seasonal loot container wearing an important name.

Diablo 2 Gives Blizzard Plenty To Work With

Baal remains one of the franchise’s most recognisable villains because of Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction.

His original encounter used tentacles, mana-draining attacks, teleportation, cold damage and copies of himself to overwhelm players.

Before reaching him, heroes also had to survive waves of minions inside the Throne of Destruction.

Those elements could easily inspire an Immortal version of the fight.

A modern encounter could combine advancing enemy waves with Baal’s illusions, environmental hazards and mechanics that force the group to identify the real boss.

It would be familiar without becoming a direct museum reconstruction.

The Fight Needs More Than Nostalgia

Simply placing Baal inside Diablo Immortal will attract attention.

Keeping players interested requires worthwhile mechanics and rewards.

The encounter should feel dangerous even to experienced characters.

It also needs clear visual warnings, sensible difficulty scaling and rewards strong enough to justify repeated attempts.

An anniversary boss should feel like an event.

Not another weekly obligation wearing a famous face.

Exclusive Rewards Would Make Sense

Blizzard has not announced what Baal will drop.

However, an encounter built around Diablo’s 30th anniversary would be a natural place for themed cosmetics, portrait frames, weapon appearances or crafting materials.

A permanent cosmetic inspired by the Worldstone, Baal’s armour or the Throne of Destruction would give the event a lasting reward.

Temporary currency and upgrade materials would be useful.

They would also disappear into the same inventory where every other useful resource goes to become a number.

Immortal Has Used Returning Bosses Before

Diablo Immortal has previously brought familiar enemies from other Diablo games into limited-time events.

Avarice appeared during an earlier anniversary celebration and is now scheduled to return again.

These events allow Blizzard to use the franchise’s history without permanently rewriting Immortal’s campaign.

Baal is a much larger name.

That creates more excitement and considerably less room for a forgettable encounter.

The Timing Fits Diablo’s Anniversary

The original Diablo launched at the end of 1996, making 2026 the franchise’s 30th anniversary year.

Blizzard is celebrating across several Diablo games, with Diablo Immortal using the occasion for returning content, free cosmetics and anniversary boss fights.

Baal is an obvious choice.

He represents one of the series’ most important expansions and one of its most heavily farmed bosses.

Millions of Diablo 2 runs have ended in his chamber.

Some players may still be there.

We Still Need The Important Details

Blizzard says additional information will arrive in the coming weeks.

The biggest unanswered questions are:

  • When the Baal event begins.
  • How long the encounter remains available.
  • Whether it supports multiple difficulty levels.
  • What rewards can be earned.
  • Whether Baal uses mechanics inspired by Diablo 2.
  • Whether the fight can be repeated for additional loot.

Until those details arrive, the announcement remains a promising piece of anniversary nostalgia.

Baal is returning.

Now Blizzard needs to make sure the Lord of Destruction brings more than his name and an enormous health bar.

Diablo Immortal Is Running Mirrored Jewels For Almost An Entire Month

Diablo Immortal has found a surprisingly effective way to celebrate 30 years of Diablo.

It is letting players press the Legendary Gem button four times.

Blizzard is running four Mirrored Jewels events back-to-back from July 29 through August 26, 2026.

Each event gives players another opportunity to activate Mirrored Jewels during an Elder Rift and receive additional Legendary Gems from that run.

The event does not make the gems better.

It simply gives the loot table a photocopier.

Four Mirrored Jewels Events Run Back-To-Back

The anniversary schedule contains four separate weekly Mirrored Jewels periods:

  • July 29 at 3 a.m. to August 5 at 3 a.m. server time
  • August 5 at 3 a.m. to August 12 at 3 a.m. server time
  • August 12 at 3 a.m. to August 19 at 3 a.m. server time
  • August 19 at 3 a.m. to August 26 at 3 a.m. server time

The events begin immediately after the previous one ends.

That gives players almost an entire month with another Mirrored Jewels opportunity arriving every week.

Missing one period is still unfortunate.

It is considerably less catastrophic when three more copies are already waiting on the calendar.

Mirrored Jewels Applies To One Elder Rift Run

Mirrored Jewels is not a passive bonus applied to every Elder Rift during the event.

Players activate it for one selected run.

During that run, every Legendary Gem received as a reward is accompanied by an additional Legendary Gem.

This makes the choice of run important.

Using Mirrored Jewels with only one or two Crests wastes much of the event’s potential.

Using it with 10 Legendary Crests gives the system the largest possible set of Crest-generated rewards to mirror.

Players Should Save Ten Legendary Crests

Blizzard specifically recommends activating Mirrored Jewels during a run using 10 Legendary Crests.

Players participating in all four event periods should therefore plan around four fully supplied Elder Rift runs.

That could mean saving up to 40 Legendary Crests across the anniversary period.

Players do not necessarily need all 40 before the first event begins.

They only need enough for each weekly activation before that specific period expires.

The calendar has become a month-long exercise in not pressing the Crest button too early.

The Event Does Not Improve Drop Quality

Mirrored Jewels does not increase the normal probability of receiving a high-quality Legendary Gem.

The Elder Rift still rolls rewards using its regular drop chances.

If the original result is disappointing, the mirrored rewards do not magically transform the run into a jackpot.

The event increases the number of gems awarded.

It does not guarantee a 5-Star Legendary Gem or improve its quality rating.

Two disappointing gems are technically more valuable than one.

They are still capable of disappointing as a team.

The Extra Gem Is Not Necessarily Identical

Players should not assume that Mirrored Jewels creates an exact duplicate of every item.

Blizzard describes the additional reward as another random Legendary Gem of the same general reward type, with random quality where applicable.

The mirrored gem may therefore differ from the original result.

This creates another opportunity for a valuable drop.

It also prevents players from treating one strong gem as a guaranteed second identical copy.

The mirror reflects the reward system.

It does not operate a cloning laboratory.

Legendary Crests Provide The Real Value

A 10-Crest run matters because Legendary Crests guarantee Legendary Gem rewards.

Mirrored Jewels then adds additional gems based on the results of that run.

Players using Eternal Legendary Crests may also receive unbound gems that can be traded on the Market, depending on the normal rules governing the original and mirrored rewards.

Bound Legendary Crests generally produce bound gems.

Players should therefore decide whether they are chasing personal Gem Power, specific upgrades or potentially tradable results before assembling the run.

Free-To-Play Players Should Plan Carefully

Four Mirrored Jewels periods sound generous.

They may still be difficult to maximise for players who do not purchase Crests.

Free-to-play players should check current event rewards, Hilts Trader stock, Battle Pass rewards and any anniversary gifts before spending available Crests.

A partially filled Mirrored Jewels run is still better than forgetting to use the event entirely.

However, reaching 10 Legendary Crests produces the strongest possible use of the weekly activation.

The event is free.

The ideal ammunition remains considerably less casual.

Do Not Activate It By Accident

Players should pay close attention before entering an Elder Rift.

Once Mirrored Jewels is consumed on a run, that weekly opportunity is gone.

Activating it with the wrong Crest setup can turn a valuable anniversary bonus into a very small pile of additional Gem Power.

Before beginning the run, confirm:

  • Mirrored Jewels is available for the current event period.
  • The correct number of Legendary Crests has been inserted.
  • The intended Crest types are being used.
  • Every party member understands whose Crests and activation are involved.

Diablo Immortal contains many buttons.

This is one of the buttons worth reading twice.

Each Weekly Period Has Its Own Deadline

The four events are separate rather than one shared month-long charge.

Players should use each activation before its weekly deadline at 3 a.m. server time.

An unused opportunity from the first week should not be expected to carry into the second.

The next period provides a new event.

It does not necessarily preserve the one somebody forgot to use.

Setting a weekly reminder may be more useful than another build guide.

The Event Is Excellent For Gem Power

Even when the results do not include a desirable 5-Star Legendary Gem, the additional drops still provide Gem Power.

That makes Mirrored Jewels useful for upgrading existing gems rather than only chasing new ones.

A weak run can still contribute meaningful upgrade material.

Four properly supplied runs across the anniversary can generate a substantial amount of additional progression.

The jackpot remains rare.

The consolation prizes at least arrive in larger boxes.

Market Prices May React To The Extra Supply

Four consecutive Mirrored Jewels events could increase the number of Legendary Gems entering some servers’ Markets.

That may temporarily place downward pressure on prices for common gems or increase availability for particular upgrade materials.

Market conditions vary significantly between servers.

Players interested in selling should check local prices rather than assuming every mirrored result should be listed immediately.

Buyers may also find opportunities as other players unload anniversary rewards.

Diablo’s economy has survived demons, duplication and one ring becoming currency.

It can probably survive four weeks of extra gems.

The Timing Supports The 30th Anniversary

The Mirrored Jewels marathon is part of Diablo Immortal’s broader 30th-anniversary celebration.

The update also includes free Immortal King-inspired armor, returning limited-time activities and a planned revamped fight against Baal.

Running four gem events in sequence gives players a recurring reason to return throughout August rather than claiming one reward and disappearing.

Every Wednesday brings another opportunity.

Every Wednesday also brings another chance to realise the Crests were spent on Tuesday.

Use The Event, But Understand What It Promises

Mirrored Jewels is one of Diablo Immortal’s most valuable limited-time Elder Rift bonuses.

Four consecutive periods make the anniversary version unusually generous.

Players should save Legendary Crests, activate each weekly event on a 10-Crest run and remember that normal drop probabilities still apply.

The event doubles opportunities.

It does not double luck.

Prepare four runs.

Watch the weekly deadlines.

Then let the mirror decide whether it has brought treasure or simply twice as much upgrade material.

Diablo Immortal Is Giving Every Player Free Immortal King Armor

Diablo Immortal is celebrating 30 years of Diablo with a gift pulled directly from one of the series’ most famous wardrobes.

Players can now claim a free cosmetic set inspired by the Immortal King armor from Diablo 2.

No premium currency is required.

No Battle Pass needs to be completed.

No suspiciously glowing loot box needs to be opened.

You simply need a character at level 10.

The Immortal King Cosmetic Is Free

The anniversary reward became available on July 29, 2026.

Every eligible Diablo Immortal character at level 10 or above can claim the cosmetic during the anniversary event.

The armor is inspired by the Immortal King set worn by Barbarians in Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Resurrected.

It is one of the most recognisable armor sets in the franchise, combining enormous horned equipment with the subtle visual philosophy of a man who would like every demon in the room to notice him immediately.

Each Character Can Claim It Once

Blizzard says each character can claim the anniversary reward one time.

When the reward is claimed, the cosmetic is unlocked for that character’s current class.

That detail matters for players who use several characters or regularly change classes.

Before claiming the set, make sure the character is currently using the class that should receive the cosmetic appearance.

The armor may be inspired by a Barbarian set, but Diablo Immortal adapts the look for its different classes.

The Immortal King has apparently expanded the dress code.

You Need To Reach Level 10

The level requirement is low enough that new or returning players should be able to qualify quickly.

Characters below level 10 will need to gain a few levels before the reward becomes available.

Veteran players should already satisfy the requirement on their established characters.

Anyone returning specifically for the anniversary should still check every character they intend to use before the event ends.

Free cosmetics are only free when somebody remembers to press the claim button.

The Set Comes From Diablo 2 Royalty

Immortal King is a classic Diablo 2 Barbarian set built around heavy armor and enormous physical damage.

The original collection included Immortal King’s Will, Soul Cage, Detail, Forge, Pillar and Stone Crusher.

Completing the full set turned the Barbarian into a walking monument to blunt-force trauma.

The Diablo Immortal version is cosmetic rather than a recreation of those original set bonuses.

It will not suddenly grant the wearer the complete power of a Diablo 2 Whirlwind Barbarian.

It will, however, allow them to look as if they are about to explain why every problem can be solved with a very large hammer.

This Is Part Of Diablo’s 30th Anniversary

The free armor is only one part of Diablo Immortal’s month-long anniversary celebration.

Blizzard is also running four Mirrored Jewels events back-to-back from July 29 through August 26.

Returning activities include Survivor’s Bane, Trial of the Hordes, Fractured Plane and Wild Brawl.

A revamped battle against Baal is also planned for August, alongside the return of Avarice and his Goblin swarm.

The anniversary is therefore not limited to one login reward.

Blizzard has constructed an entire month around nostalgia, extra rewards and several demons who apparently refused to remain retired.

The Claim System Could Confuse Class Changers

Diablo Immortal allows characters to change class.

Because the Immortal King cosmetic unlocks for the class being played when the reward is claimed, players should think carefully before collecting it.

A character currently experimenting with a temporary class may not want to lock the anniversary appearance to that class.

The safest approach is to switch to the class that should receive the cosmetic before claiming the reward.

Blizzard’s announcement does not describe the reward as a universal account-wide unlock for every class.

Claim first and read later is therefore not the recommended build.

Free Cosmetics Are Rarely This Straightforward

Diablo Immortal has built much of its cosmetic economy around Battle Passes, bundles and premium purchases.

That makes a recognisable anniversary set available through a simple level requirement unusually welcome.

The reward also works because it uses Diablo history rather than another unrelated fashion theme.

Immortal King belongs in Sanctuary.

It looks heavy, impractical and designed for someone who solves doors by running through them.

Returning Players Have A Good Reason To Log In

The anniversary event is clearly designed to bring former players back for a look.

A free cosmetic provides an immediate reward before the player needs to understand every new system added since their last visit.

The Mirrored Jewels events and returning activities then provide reasons to remain after claiming it.

That combination is smarter than hiding the best anniversary item behind weeks of progression.

The armor is available quickly.

The rest of the event can then attempt to keep the player occupied until Baal arrives.

Claim It Before The Anniversary Ends

Blizzard says the anniversary celebration stretches through August, although players should avoid leaving the reward until the final moment.

Log in with an eligible character.

Confirm that the correct class is active.

Claim the Immortal King cosmetic.

Then spend several minutes deciding whether the enormous horns improve every possible outfit.

They do.

Diablo has spent 30 years teaching players that larger shoulder armor represents progress.

Diablo Immortal is finally giving everyone a free example.

Diablo 4 Players Say Anniversary Events Are Too Short To Feel Like A Celebration

Diablo 4 just celebrated its third anniversary.

And somehow, players are already arguing that the party ended before some people had even found their shoes.

Blizzard’s Diablo IV anniversary celebration ran from June 2 until June 9, bringing limited-time events, free weapon cosmetics, March of the Goblins, Mother’s Blessing, and a nice little pile of reasons to log into Sanctuary.

Good stuff.

But a new Diablo 4 forum thread argues that the problem is not the rewards.

It is the clock.

A Celebration Should Not Feel Like A Missed Appointment

The anniversary event lasted about a week.

For players who log in daily, that might be fine. They get the cosmetics, chase the Goblins, enjoy the XP boost, scoop up the goodies, and move on.

But not everyone plays Diablo 4 like it is a second job with demons.

Some people have work. Family. Other games. PTR testing. Real life. The audacity of needing sleep.

So when an anniversary event arrives with a short window, it can start to feel less like a celebration and more like an appointment you accidentally missed because Sanctuary forgot to send a calendar invite.

March Of The Goblins Works Better When People Can Actually March

March of the Goblins is exactly the kind of event Diablo players like on paper.

More Treasure Goblins. More loot chaos. More tiny greedy freaks sprinting away with the energy of someone who just stole your wallet and your dignity.

That is fun.

But limited-time loot events are only fun if players have enough time to enjoy them properly. If the event window is too short, players either grind harder than they wanted, or miss the best part entirely.

That turns a fun bonus into pressure.

And Diablo 4 already has enough pressure from gear rolls, crafting materials, seasonal systems, and the eternal question of whether your build is genius or just expensive trash.

Free Cosmetics Are Nice, But Time Still Matters

The anniversary celebration also included free weapon cosmetics.

That is a smart move. Players like free cosmetics. Even the grumpiest forum goblin will usually stop sharpening the complaint axe for a free shiny thing.

But the same issue applies: if rewards are tied too tightly to a small window, the event becomes easier to miss than it needs to be.

An anniversary is supposed to make players feel included.

Not like they showed up on June 10 and found an empty cake table, three dead Goblins, and a note saying “better luck next year.”

Short Events Make Live-Service Fatigue Worse

This is bigger than one anniversary.

Modern live-service games love limited-time events because they create urgency. Urgency gets people to log in. Logging in keeps the machine alive.

Fine.

But too much urgency starts to feel like homework.

When every event has a timer, every reward has a window, and every celebration becomes another thing to track, players stop feeling rewarded and start feeling managed.

That is dangerous for Diablo 4 because the game already asks players to commit to seasons, builds, upgrades, materials, bosses, dungeons, and whatever cursed system happens to be glowing this month.

A celebration should be the break from pressure.

Not another pressure source wearing a party hat.

Blizzard Could Let Events Breathe

The fix does not need to be complicated.

Longer event windows. More generous claim periods. Weekend extensions. A clearer in-game calendar. Maybe even anniversary events that run long enough for casual players to participate without treating Diablo like a dentist appointment with loot.

Blizzard does not need to make every event last forever.

But big celebrations should feel roomy.

Especially anniversaries.

If Diablo 4 is celebrating three years of Sanctuary, let players actually celebrate. Give them time to hunt Goblins, claim rewards, level alts, test builds, and enjoy the chaos without speedrunning the party.

Because nobody is asking for free loot to rain from the sky for six months.

They are asking for the anniversary to last long enough that it feels like an anniversary.

Sanctuary Needs Fewer Blink-And-You-Miss-It Parties

Diablo 4’s anniversary event had the right ingredients.

Goblins. XP boosts. Cosmetics. A reason to log in. A little celebration during a busy year for the franchise.

But timing matters.

If too many players feel like the event ended too quickly, then the issue is not generosity. It is accessibility.

Diablo 4 does not need every celebration to become a month-long loot carnival.

But it should not feel like the party was designed only for players who never miss a login.

Hell can be temporary.

The birthday party should probably last more than five minutes.

Diablo Immortal’s Anniversary Event Is Four Events Wearing A Trench Coat

Diablo Immortal is celebrating its 4th anniversary, and apparently one anniversary event was not enough.

No, this is Diablo Immortal. The event calendar has been fed after midnight, dipped in Legendary Crests, and released into Sanctuary wearing several hats at once.

Blizzard’s Anniversary Celebrations are Fourfold update lays out a packed June schedule with Fourfold Revival, Mirrored Jewels, Winds of Fortune, Chaos Convoy, anniversary trials, reforging, PvP tournaments, cosmetics, and enough timed activities to make your phone battery ask for a union representative.

It is not really one event.

It is several events standing on each other’s shoulders pretending to be a festival.

Fourfold Revival Is The Main Anniversary Buffet

The headline celebration is the Fourfold Revival, running through mid-June with multiple anniversary activities bundled together.

Players can take on the Trial of True Evils, test a max Rank 5 Legendary Gem during the Anniversary Legendary Gem Trial, chase rewards, grab anniversary cosmetics, and mess around with Set Gear Reforging.

That last one is very Diablo Immortal: take three set items, throw them into the upgrade furnace, and hope the result looks less like disappointment with boots.

It is the kind of anniversary design that says, “Happy birthday, now please open seventeen menus.”

Mirrored Jewels And Winds Of Fortune Bring The Loot Bribes

The mid-June stretch adds Mirrored Jewels and Winds of Fortune, which is where the event starts sounding more like a loot casino with better lighting.

Winds of Fortune doubles certain rewards after activating a 24-hour buff, including gold, experience, Battle Pass Points, Normal Gems, Legendary Items, and drops from several activities.

That is the good kind of chaos.

The kind where players log in “just to check the event” and wake up forty minutes later inside a dungeon wondering why their inventory is full again.

Chaos Convoy Is Back To Make PvP Weird Again

Chaos Convoy also returns, running all the way into July.

This limited-time Battleground mode uses randomized Gifts of Corvus, letting players pick combat modifiers during matches. That means more unpredictable builds, more sudden nonsense, and more PvP moments where someone wins because the game handed them the perfect cursed power at the perfect cursed second.

In other words: balance, but wearing a party hat and holding a knife.

It Is A Lot, But That Is The Point

Diablo Immortal events often feel like someone looked at a normal calendar and decided it needed more buttons.

But for an anniversary, that may actually work.

The game is not trying to be quiet. It is throwing rewards, modes, trials, cosmetics, reforging, tournaments, and time-limited buffs at players until the whole thing feels like Sanctuary opened a demonic amusement park.

Is it elegant? Not really.

Is it busy? Absolutely.

But if you play Diablo Immortal, this is the kind of messy anniversary pile that gives you reasons to log in, poke around, grab rewards, and pretend you are not being gently bullied by event timers.

Four years in, Diablo Immortal clearly still knows how to celebrate.

It just celebrates like four events in a trench coat trying to sneak into the same dungeon.

Diablo Immortal’s Bout of Realms Is Back for PvP Sickos

Diablo Immortal’s fourth anniversary celebration is not just about gifts, boss gauntlets, double loot, and suspiciously generous Legendary Gem trials. Blizzard is also bringing back the Cross Server Bout of Realms Championships, which means it is once again time for organized PvP chaos with actual bragging rights attached.

According to Blizzard’s official Fourfold Revival anniversary update, Bout of Realms returns as part of the wider anniversary push. Blizzard has previously described Bout of Realms as a multistage Tower War PvP competition where teams of eight battle other teams across servers within their home region.

In normal language: gather seven other people you trust, then go find out which friendships survive competitive Diablo Immortal.

Eight Players Enter, Several Egos Leave Damaged

Bout of Realms is built around team PvP, which already makes it very different from most of Diablo Immortal’s anniversary noise. This is not a loot buff. This is not a one-hour borrowed power trial. This is not three bad Set Items being thrown into the reforging blender.

This is competition.

Teams need coordination, timing, role discipline, and probably at least one person in voice chat saying “focus target” with the emotional tone of a doomed battlefield commander.

That is the appeal. Diablo Immortal’s PvP can be messy, dramatic, and occasionally feel like a spreadsheet got into a knife fight. But Bout of Realms gives the chaos a structure. Teams are not just queueing for random violence. They are climbing through a championship format where wins actually mean something.

Anniversary Hell Needed Some Competitive Blood

We have already covered how Diablo Immortal turned its anniversary into a boss gauntlet, how Winds of Fortune doubles loot with fine print, and how Chaos Convoy turns PvP into a slot machine with armor.

Bout of Realms feels like the sharper competitive sibling. Less random modifier madness, more organized violence. Less “what card did I just draw?” and more “why did our entire backline just evaporate?”

That is good variety for the anniversary slate. Not everyone wants another loot event. Some players want a real PvP test, preferably one that lets them prove their server is full of killers and not just people who farm efficiently while pretending to be busy.

Diablo Immortal PvP Is Still Its Own Beast

Of course, Diablo Immortal PvP always comes with baggage. Balance, matchmaking, resonance, class tuning, coordination, and reward structure all matter. Competitive events can be exciting, but they also expose every awkward edge in the system.

That is why Bout of Realms is interesting. It gives Blizzard a format where serious PvP players can engage with something more structured than casual Battleground chaos, while also giving the community a clean competitive storyline during the anniversary window.

Will it be perfectly balanced? Please. This is Sanctuary, not a court hearing.

But it should be watchable, sweaty, and exactly the kind of event that makes PvP players log in with bad intentions.

Diablo Immortal’s anniversary is already stuffed with rewards and event loops. Bout of Realms adds the missing ingredient: competitive violence for the people who see a celebration and ask whether there will be blood.

There will be.

Diablo Immortal’s Chaos Convoy Is PvP With a Slot Machine Strapped On

Diablo Immortal’s Chaos Convoy is back, which means PvP players once again get to enjoy Battleground violence with randomized power progression thrown directly into the engine like cursed confetti.

According to Blizzard’s official Fourfold Revival anniversary update, Chaos Convoy runs from May 27 to July 13 at 3:00 a.m. local server time. While the event is live, players can enter a special Battleground mode built around randomized Gifts of Corvus.

In normal terms, that means you pick power modifiers during the match.

In Diablo terms, it means PvP found a slot machine and decided to wear it as armor.

No Two Matches Should Feel the Same

Before each Battleground match begins, players choose their first Gift of Corvus. The options are random, but Blizzard says players can reroll each offered card. Then, every 60 seconds during the match, another Gift appears, letting players stack new modifiers and adapt on the fly.

The Gifts can do all kinds of ridiculous things: increase DoT damage, boost movement speed, summon spectral weapons, reduce cooldowns, and more. Blizzard says there are more than 100 Gifts to try, which is either exciting or deeply alarming depending on how much chaos you like in your PvP.

Probably both.

PvP, But Make It Weird

The appeal of Chaos Convoy is obvious. Standard PvP can get stale fast when the same builds, matchups, and power gaps start repeating. Randomized modifiers can shake that up, forcing players to make quick decisions instead of simply executing the same routine until everyone involved loses faith in matchmaking.

That said, this is still Diablo Immortal. Balance is always going to be a conversation, a complaint, a spreadsheet, and occasionally a bonfire.

Blizzard says Paragon Skills and Specializations, Warband Remnants, and Boss Skill affixes on equipment are disabled in Chaos Convoy. That should help keep the mode focused on its own modifier madness rather than letting every outside system crash the party with a chair.

The Rewards Are Getting Better Too

Blizzard also says Chaos Convoy rewards now progress with the Tower War reward track, including daily participation rewards, ranked progression rewards, and seasonal competitive rewards. The event also offers twice the Battleground rewards while active.

That matters, because PvP chaos is more attractive when the reward structure does not feel like someone forgot to fill the chest.

We have already covered how Diablo Immortal’s anniversary turned into a boss gauntlet, how Winds of Fortune doubles loot with fine print, and how Set Gear Reforging turns bad gear into one hopeful gamble. Chaos Convoy fits neatly into that same anniversary circus.

It is loud. It is messy. It is probably unfair in at least three entertaining ways.

But it also sounds like the kind of limited-time PvP nonsense Diablo Immortal is built to do well: fast decisions, weird power spikes, temporary madness, and rewards that make the chaos worth entering.

Chaos Convoy is not subtle.

It is PvP with a slot machine strapped on.

And honestly, that might be the point.

Diablo Immortal Turns Three Bad Set Items Into One Hopeful Gamble

Diablo Immortal’s fourth anniversary event has already thrown bosses, free rewards, double loot, and borrowed Legendary Gem power at players. Now it is doing something even more dangerous: giving junk gear a second chance.

According to Blizzard’s official Fourfold Revival anniversary update, the Set Gear Reforging limited-time event runs from June 1 at 3:00 a.m. to June 17 at 3:00 a.m. server time.

The idea is simple, which is always suspicious in a Diablo game. Players can take three Set Items from the same slot and same set type, then reforge them into one amplified version of that item.

In other words: three bad boots enter. One hopeful boot leaves.

Junk Gear Gets One More Chance to Betray You

The reforged item has a chance to roll stronger combinations of Attributes and Affixes. Blizzard lists the possible outcomes as 2+2, 3+2, or 3+3, with the best 3+3 result sitting at a much lower chance than the basic option.

That is classic Diablo math. The system gives you hope, shows you the dream, then quietly reminds you that the dream has odds attached.

Still, this kind of event can be genuinely useful. Set Items pile up fast in Diablo Immortal, and not all of them deserve to live rent-free in your stash. Turning surplus pieces into another shot at better gear is a solid idea, especially during an anniversary window where players are already grinding more than usual.

The Limits Keep the Casino From Catching Fire

There are restrictions, because of course there are. The event has a daily limit of three attempts, with a maximum of ten attempts per week.

That limit is probably necessary. Without it, players would immediately convert half their stash into a spreadsheet bonfire and then complain that the ashes were poorly optimized.

With the cap in place, Set Gear Reforging becomes more of a targeted event bonus than an endless gambling pit. You get a few chances to clean up excess Set Items and maybe walk away with something stronger. Maybe.

Diablo is not a charity. It is more like a haunted pawn shop with combat.

Anniversary Loot With Proper Diablo Energy

We have already covered how Diablo Immortal turned its fourth anniversary into a boss gauntlet, how Winds of Fortune doubles loot with fine print, and how the Legendary Gem Trial lets players borrow a max Rank 5 Gem.

Set Gear Reforging fits neatly into that anniversary chaos. It is useful, slightly dangerous, and built around the beautiful ARPG lie that the next roll will definitely fix everything.

It probably will not.

But if your stash is full of duplicate Set pieces that are too bad to love and too suspicious to delete, this event gives them one last chance to become something useful.

That is not mercy.

That is Diablo with a recycling bin and a gambling problem.

Diablo Immortal Lets Players Borrow a Max Rank 5 Legendary Gem

Diablo Immortal’s fourth anniversary celebration has bosses, double loot, reforging, PvP chaos, and now something that sounds suspiciously like a demonic test drive.

According to Blizzard’s official Fourfold Revival anniversary update, the Anniversary Legendary Gem Trial runs from June 1 at 3:00 a.m. to June 17 at 3:00 a.m. server time. During the event, players can try one max Rank 5 Legendary Gem for one hour.

Yes, Diablo Immortal is letting players borrow power like a cursed car dealership. Take it for a spin, feel the damage, enjoy the sparkle, then remember that permanent power in Sanctuary usually comes with grinding, luck, or a small emotional collapse.

A One-Hour Taste of Expensive Power

The best part is that the timer uses active time, not elapsed time. Being offline does not drain the trial. That is surprisingly reasonable, which is always alarming when Diablo Immortal is involved.

Players can also swap Gems during the event period, meaning this is not just a one-and-done curiosity. It gives players a chance to test different Legendary Gem options and see what actually fits their build before committing resources, regret, or both.

For a game where Legendary Gems are a huge part of power progression, that matters. Diablo Immortal has always had a complicated relationship with power, wallets, grind, and player patience. Letting people test a strong Gem before fully chasing it is genuinely useful.

This Is Smart, Even If It Feels Like Bait

Let’s be honest. A Legendary Gem Trial is also very good marketing. Give players a taste of a max Rank 5 Gem, let them feel the difference, then gently return them to normal life like someone taking away a flaming sword at the end of a rental period.

But that does not make the feature bad.

We already covered how Diablo Immortal turned its fourth anniversary into a boss gauntlet, and how Winds of Fortune doubles loot with the usual fine print. The Legendary Gem Trial fits the same anniversary pattern: useful rewards, tempting power, and enough Diablo energy to make everyone suspicious.

Try Before You Grind

The best use of the trial is obvious. Test Gems with real builds. Run meaningful content. Do not waste the hour standing in town admiring the tooltip like a scholar in a haunted jewelry shop.

Use it on bosses. Use it in dungeons. Use it where the extra power actually matters.

Diablo Immortal’s anniversary is clearly designed to pull players back into the machine with gifts, boosts, and events. The Legendary Gem Trial might be one of the more useful pieces of that celebration, because it gives players something rare in Diablo: a chance to try power before marrying the grind.

That is still dangerous, obviously.

Borrowed power always feels good until the demon asks for it back.

Diablo Immortal Doubles Loot, Then Adds the Fine Print

Diablo Immortal is about to do something every ARPG player understands on a spiritual level: double the loot and then immediately attach rules to it.

According to Blizzard’s official Fourfold Revival anniversary update, the Winds of Fortune event runs from June 10 to June 17 at 3:00 a.m. local server time. During the event, players can activate a 24-hour buff that doubles rewards from a long list of activities.

That sounds simple. Dangerous mistake. This is Diablo Immortal. Of course there is fine print.

Double Loot Sounds Beautifully Suspicious

During Winds of Fortune, several rewards can drop in duplicate quantities, including Gold, Experience, Battle Pass Points, Normal Gems, and Legendary Items. The bonus also applies to activities like Horadric Bestiary, Challenge Rifts, Bounties, Fishing, Dungeons, Purge the Depths, Accursed Towers, Hidden Lairs, wilderness farming, and Codex Activities.

That is a pretty generous spread. If you are already grinding Diablo Immortal’s anniversary events, this is the kind of boost that makes the routine feel less like a punishment and more like a very productive punishment.

There is also a doubled 4-player party Normal Gems bonus drop, and Blizzard says that specific bonus is unaffected by the daily cap.

Lovely. Suspiciously lovely.

Now Comes the Diablo Immortal Paperwork

The Winds of Fortune buff lasts 24 hours in real time once activated. Not playtime. Real time. So if you activate it, wander off, forget dinner exists, fall asleep, or are dragged into a family obligation, the clock does not care.

If players have not activated the buff within 24 hours of the event ending, Blizzard says it will be enabled automatically. Any unclaimed rewards will also be auto-claimed on the next login, which is merciful enough to make any long-term Diablo player suspicious.

There are also limits. Battle Pass rewards will not be doubled, the weekly limit on Battle Pass Points and Normal Gems will not change, and duplicate rewards only apply until each item’s limit is reached. On top of that, only the first twelve Common Gems of the day will be tradable.

So yes, it is double loot.

But it is double loot with a lawyer standing next to the treasure chest.

Still Worth Running, Obviously

Fine print or not, Winds of Fortune is still one of the better parts of Diablo Immortal’s fourth anniversary celebration. We already covered how Diablo Immortal turned its anniversary into a boss gauntlet, and this event gives players another reason to log in during the celebration window.

The key is timing. Since the buff runs for 24 real-time hours, players should activate it when they can actually grind. Do not pop it five minutes before bed unless your plan is to let the demons farm your regret while you sleep.

Diablo Immortal’s anniversary is doing what live-service anniversaries do best: gifts, events, bosses, boosts, currencies, cosmetics, and just enough conditions to make everyone read the event text twice.

Winds of Fortune looks useful. It looks rewarding. It also looks like something players should plan around before clicking the shiny button.

Because in Diablo, even double loot comes with a contract.

Diablo 4’s Free Anniversary Gifts Already Confused Everyone

Diablo 4 is celebrating its anniversary with free weapon cosmetics, bonus XP, goblins, and the traditional live-service mini-boss nobody asked for: time-zone confusion.

According to Blizzard’s official anniversary post, the celebration runs from June 2 until June 9. Mother’s Blessing and March of the Goblins begin on June 2 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, while the free anniversary gifts start later, at June 2 at 12:00 p.m. PDT.

That two-hour gap was enough to turn free loot into a small public investigation.

The Gifts Are Free, But Apparently Not Instant

The free gifts arrive in the in-game shop one per day from June 2 until June 6. Players have until June 9 to claim them all, which means there is a little breathing room if life, work, or basic human survival gets in the way of logging into Sanctuary for cosmetics.

The lineup includes Blood Raven’s Talon, a one-handed sword cosmetic, King Kanai’s Last Stand, a shield cosmetic, Nangari Wounder, a dagger cosmetic, Overlord’s Odium, a two-handed axe cosmetic, and Flamefinger’s Claws, a glaive cosmetic.

That is a pretty solid little anniversary stash. Free weapon skins are free weapon skins, and Diablo players are legally required to collect anything that glows, bleeds, or has a name that sounds like it was translated from a cursed church mural.

Then the Shop Became the Actual Boss

The problem is that some players were already asking where the free anniversary cosmetics were before the gift timer had actually hit. The official Diablo 4 forums showed threads like “Shop missing free anniversary cosmetics?” and “Free Anniversary Transmogs?” popping up as players tried to figure out whether the gifts were late, bugged, hidden, or simply not live yet.

That is very Diablo 4. Even free stuff somehow needs a schedule check, a forum thread, and someone explaining PDT like it is a seasonal mechanic.

To be fair, the timing split is easy to miss. If the event starts at 10:00 a.m. PDT, many players naturally expect the shop gift to appear at the same time. Blizzard’s post says otherwise, but expecting every player to read the fine print is optimistic. This is a community that can argue about damage buckets for 400 posts and still miss a claim timer.

Free Loot Still Needs Clear Messaging

We already covered how Diablo 4’s anniversary event is basically free loot, goblins, and a very obvious bribe, and honestly, that is fine. Anniversary events should be generous. Throw players some cosmetics. Dump some goblins into the world. Let Mother’s Blessing turn the XP faucet on.

But Diablo 4 keeps proving that even small rewards need clean communication. Dates, times, claim windows, and shop visibility matter because players have been trained to assume that if something is missing, it might be bugged, delayed, region-locked, or hiding behind another cursed menu.

The good news is simple: the free cosmetics are real, the schedule is clear once you actually read it, and players have until June 9 to grab everything.

The bad news is also simple: Diablo 4 has once again made people fight a time zone before collecting a sword skin.

Happy anniversary, Sanctuary.

Please check the clock before accusing the shop goblin.

Diablo Immortal’s Anniversary Event Turns PvP Into a Chaos Convoy

Diablo Immortal is celebrating another anniversary the only way mobile Sanctuary knows how: too many events, too many rewards, and one PvP mode that looks like it was designed by someone who thought normal Battlegrounds needed more chaos and fewer stable life choices.

Blizzard has detailed the latest Diablo Immortal anniversary update, and one of the loudest returning features is Chaos Convoy Season 2. The event runs from May 27 until July 13 at 3 a.m. local server time, bringing randomized power progression back into Battleground PvP.

Random Powers, Real PvP Problems

The idea behind Chaos Convoy is simple: take Battlegrounds, add randomized build-shaping bonuses, and force players to adapt as the match gets increasingly weird.

Before each match starts, players pick their first Gift of Corvus. These are random combat modifiers that can change the way a build performs. Every 60 seconds, another Gift appears, pushing the match further into “well, this build is now legally a science experiment” territory.

According to Blizzard, Gifts of Corvus can do everything from increasing damage-over-time effects and movement speed to summoning spectral weapons or reducing ability cooldowns. There are more than 100 Gifts available, which means no two matches should feel exactly the same.

That Sounds Messy, Which Is the Point

Diablo PvP has always lived in a strange place. It can be fun, ridiculous, frustrating, unfair, explosive, and occasionally impossible to describe without sounding like someone dropped a build guide into a blender.

Chaos Convoy leans into that instead of pretending otherwise.

This is not clean competitive purity. This is randomized modifier madness inside a Battleground match. It is the kind of mode where your plan matters, but so does reacting quickly when the game hands you a new power and says, “good luck, idiot.”

Honestly, that may be exactly why it works as an anniversary event. It is temporary, loud, reward-driven, and built to create moments rather than perfect balance.

Better Rewards for PvP Players

The reward structure has also been updated. Blizzard says Chaos Convoy now progresses through the Tower War reward track, which should make it more rewarding for PvP-minded players. Daily participation rewards, ranked progression rewards, and seasonal competitive rewards are all tied into the structure.

On top of that, playing the limited-time mode earns twice the Battleground rewards.

That matters because PvP events live or die by whether players feel properly paid for the headache. Random powers are funny. Losing to random powers is less funny. Getting better rewards while everyone screams through the chaos helps soften the emotional bruising.

Diablo Immortal Still Knows How to Go Loud

This is the difference between Diablo Immortal and Diablo 4 right now. Diablo 4 has been deep in bug cleanup, balance debates, loot complaints, and anniversary goblin bribes. Diablo Immortal, meanwhile, continues doing the mobile-event thing at full volume.

More events. More modifiers. More currencies. More rewards. More reasons to log in before something disappears.

That can be exhausting, but it can also be entertaining when the event knows exactly what it is. Chaos Convoy is not subtle. It is not elegant. It is not trying to be the sacred cathedral of PvP design.

It is a chaos truck full of random powers, double rewards, and Battleground violence.

For Diablo Immortal’s anniversary, that feels weirdly appropriate.

Diablo 4’s Anniversary Event Is Free Loot, Goblins, and a Very Obvious Bribe

Diablo 4 is celebrating its anniversary in the most Diablo way possible: free cosmetics, bonus XP, Treasure Goblins, and the very clear understanding that players can be lured back into Sanctuary with shiny things and suspicious little loot gremlins.

Blizzard has officially announced the Diablo IV anniversary celebration, with festivities running from June 2 until June 9. The event includes Mother’s Blessing, the return of March of the Goblins, and a set of free weapon cosmetics available through the in-game shop.

Mother’s Blessing Is Back

The first big hook is Mother’s Blessing, which starts on June 2 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. During the event, players will receive increased multiplicative XP across both Seasonal and Eternal realms.

That is the sort of anniversary gift Diablo players understand immediately. No puzzle. No hidden shrine sequence. No cow murder math. Just more XP, faster progress, and a strong suggestion that now might be a good time to level an alt, push a character, or pretend this is finally the week you will organize your stash.

March of the Goblins Returns

Then come the goblins, because apparently Blizzard knows exactly how to press the loot-brain button.

March of the Goblins is returning for the anniversary event, bringing back the event reputation board. Completing the final rank will reward players with the Regalia of the Sacred Creed.

Treasure Goblins are one of Diablo’s purest inventions: tiny panic merchants who exist only to trigger greed, bad decisions, and sudden changes in route. You can be halfway through a sensible activity, spot one sprinting away, and immediately become a worse person.

That is the magic. That is also the bribe.

Free Weapon Cosmetics Start June 1

The free gifts begin slightly earlier. Starting June 1 at 12:00 p.m. PDT, a new weapon cosmetic will appear in the in-game shop each day until June 6. Players have until June 9 to claim them all.

The free cosmetics include:

  • Blood Raven’s Talon — One-handed Sword cosmetic
  • King Kanai’s Last Stand — Shield cosmetic
  • Nangari Wounder — Dagger cosmetic
  • Overlord’s Odium — Two-handed Axe cosmetic
  • Flamefinger’s Claws — Glaive cosmetic

Free cosmetics are always welcome, especially in a game where the shop has spent plenty of time staring at players with premium-priced confidence. Are these going to transform the endgame? No. Are Diablo players going to claim them anyway because free weapon skins activate ancient goblin instincts? Obviously.

A Celebration, and a Soft Player Summon

This anniversary event arrives after a stretch where Diablo 4 has been deep in bug fixes, balance complaints, reward debates, and Lord of Hatred cleanup. So yes, the timing is convenient.

Blizzard is giving players a reason to log in that does not involve arguing about Transfiguration odds, wondering whether a Seal is haunted, or reading patch notes like cursed scripture.

Instead, the pitch is simple: come back, grab free cosmetics, level faster, murder goblins, collect rewards.

It is not subtle.

But then again, neither are Treasure Goblins. And we chase those every time.
