Yes, Shako. Guaranteed.
There is no Duriel roulette involved, no hoping that the next Mythic beam contains the correct helmet and no need to convince yourself that the fifth useless drop is somehow character development. Find Ogden's missing tavern sign, bring it home and the famous Mythic Unique is yours.
First You Need Access to Old Tristram
The catch is that Ogden is not waiting in Kyovashad beside a convenient quest marker. You first need to unlock Old Tristram through Season 15's hidden Deckard Cain chain. That means finding the ten scattered Deckard's Journals and completing Deckard's Journey, which eventually opens Deckard's Memory near the Imperial Library in Caldeum.
Anyone already working through our Season 15 secret checklist may have done most of this already. The same Tristram access is also required for Uber Tristram and the Hellfire Torch, so unlocking it is rapidly becoming less of an optional anniversary diversion and more of a Season 15 membership card.
Once inside Tristram, find Ogden at the tavern and speak with him. Dark Ones have stolen his tavern sign, because apparently thirty years of demonic evolution have not produced more sophisticated criminal ambitions.
Ogden Sends You Back Into the Labyrinth
The stolen sign is connected to The Labyrinth, Season 15's recreation of the dungeon beneath Tristram Cathedral. Find Snotspill, the talking Dark One who older Diablo players may remember with uncomfortable clarity. He provides the key needed to open the locked chest containing Ogden's sign.
Take the sign.
Then make the important decision: bring it back to Ogden.
That is the confirmed route to the Harlequin Crest. The original Diablo quest also allowed players to hand the sign to Snotspill instead, which meant losing Ogden's reward. Season 15 deliberately recreates much of that old setup, so this is not the moment to become experimentally loyal to a Fallen One with questionable interior decorating ideas.
The Reward Is a Real Mythic Harlequin Crest
Return the tavern sign to Ogden and he rewards you with Harlequin Crest, Diablo IV's modern version of the legendary Shako. The current Season 15 item grants +6 Ranks to All Skills and remains usable by every class.
That alone makes Ogden's Sign one of the most valuable hidden quests in Season of Hell's Legacy. Season 15 has been generous with strange secrets, but most of them lead to encounters, cosmetics or another layer of mystery. This one simply hands over one of Diablo's most famous pieces of equipment.
It also fits perfectly beside the season's other deep cuts. Players have already found hidden Diablo II Runewords, reconstructed Uber Tristram and the Hellfire Torch, discovered Whimsyshire and started investigating the still mysterious Season 15 Annihilus. Ogden's quest goes even further back, all the way to Diablo's first game.
This Is Almost the Same Joke Diablo Told in 1996
Ogden's Sign was already a quest in the original Diablo. Ogden complained that monsters had stolen the sign from his tavern, Snotspill became involved and returning the sign correctly rewarded the player with Harlequin Crest.
Thirty years later, Blizzard has effectively rebuilt the whole joke inside Diablo IV and upgraded the prize to match modern endgame expectations.
That historical connection is what makes the quest better than simply placing another guaranteed Mythic at the end of the Season Journey. The Harlequin Crest does not feel randomly attached to Ogden's Sign. It belongs there. Players were receiving this helmet for returning this ridiculous piece of pub furniture before many current Diablo players were born.
Season 15 Keeps Rewarding People Who Remember Old Diablo
This may be the best thing about Season of Hell's Legacy. Blizzard could have celebrated Diablo's 30th anniversary with a login reward, several cosmetics and a banner saying congratulations. Instead, the season keeps hiding actual pieces of franchise history inside the game and waiting for somebody to recognise them.
The Hellfire Torch route asks players to understand Wirt, Prime Evil Splinters and Tristram. Hidden Runewords reward people who still remember combinations from Diablo II. Whimsyshire resurrects Diablo III's most aggressively cheerful joke. Ogden's Sign reaches right back to 1996 and asks whether anyone remembers why an innkeeper's missing sign might be worth investigating.
The answer is now extremely simple.
Because the innkeeper has a Shako.
How to Get the Guaranteed Harlequin Crest
The complete route is relatively straightforward once Tristram has been unlocked. Complete Deckard's Journey by finding the ten Deckard's Journals, use Deckard's Memory to enter Old Tristram and speak with Ogden at the tavern. Enter The Labyrinth, locate Snotspill and obtain the key to the locked chest. Take Ogden's sign from the chest and return it directly to Ogden.
Your reward is Harlequin Crest.
Season 15 has spent the last week teaching us that every strange anniversary reference deserves investigation.
This one may be the easiest lesson yet.
