Diablo Immortal Server Time Change Delayed to Patch 5.1.4

Diablo Immortal players hoping that this week's maintenance would finally bring Europe's server clocks back into line with local time are going to be disappointed. Blizzard has confirmed that the adjustment is coming, but not quite yet.

The Diablo Immortal server time change will take place with Patch 5.1.4 in mid-November, rather than Patch 5.1.3 on November 3–4. That means European players face another stretch of calculating event times while the game's servers remain one hour ahead of Central European winter time.

It is a small difference on a clock, but as some competitive players have already discovered, it can cause rather more trouble than simply arriving at a dungeon an hour early.

Diablo Immortal Server Time Change Confirmed for Patch 5.1.4

In Blizzard's official November update, the developers confirm that server clocks in North America, Europe and Oceania will move back one hour during the maintenance rollout for Patch 5.1.4.

The update is scheduled for mid-November, although an exact date has not yet been announced. Blizzard will notify players seven days beforehand through an in-game announcement and a message delivered to their in-game mailboxes.

For European players, the situation began on October 25, when the continent switched from summer time to winter time. Diablo Immortal's European servers continued operating on UTC+2, while countries including Germany, France and Denmark returned to UTC+1.

Consequently, an event scheduled for 8:00 p.m. server time currently takes place at 7:00 p.m. CET or 6:00 p.m. GMT in Britain. That discrepancy will remain until the server clocks are adjusted.

The delay is worth remembering because this week's update is otherwise quite substantial. As we reported in our coverage of the new War Games Resonance caps, Patch 5.1.3 introduces additional PvP customization options alongside matchmaking improvements.

Those changes are arriving now. The clock adjustment is not.

Rite of Exile Prediction Problems Raise a Bigger Question

The timing matters because European players have already reported problems with the game's competitive schedules.

On November 1, we examined the Rite of Exile prediction bug reported after Europe's clock change. One player documented attempting to submit a prediction at 7:20 p.m. server time on October 25, only to discover that the prediction window had already closed.

According to the original bug report, individual match predictions should have remained available until 8:00 p.m. The player estimated that the problem could cost affected participants up to 500 Hilts in potential rewards.

Perhaps more frustratingly, similar problems were reported in 2023 and 2024. Four years after Diablo Immortal launched, seasonal clock changes are still generating complaints about competitive event schedules.

There is, however, an important distinction. Blizzard has confirmed the upcoming server time adjustment, but has not specifically confirmed that Patch 5.1.4 will fix the Rite of Exile prediction bug. The company has not publicly established whether those failures share a single technical cause or announced compensation for the latest reports.

Until the change arrives, European players should check the displayed server time carefully, particularly when organizing clan activities or participating in events with limited registration windows.

That advice is especially relevant during the current event calendar. Hallows Phantom and the Long March reward campaign continue into November, while Challenge Rift Season 21 began on November 2 with another fifty floors to conquer. There is no evidence that these activities suffer from the same prediction bug, but understanding server time remains useful when planning around scheduled events.

For now, at least, Blizzard has answered the immediate question. The clocks will change with Patch 5.1.4, and players will receive advance notice.

Whether the prediction problems disappear along with the one-hour discrepancy is something we will have to discover when the update arrives.

There is something faintly ridiculous about it all. Sanctuary's heroes have mastered ancient magic, defeated the Prime Evils and learned to navigate an increasingly complicated collection of currencies, gems and progression systems.

Yet somewhere in Europe, a perfectly capable demon slayer still needs to check whether eight o'clock actually means seven.
