Diablo 4 Goblin Event Tracker Disappearing – Are Kills Still Counting?

Treasure Goblins have always been exceptionally good at disappearing. Usually, they run away with an enormous sack of loot while players desperately try to land one final attack. During Diablo IV's Halloween event, however, something rather more important appears to be vanishing: the tracker responsible for recording those Goblin kills.

Several players are reporting problems with March of the Goblins, claiming that the event disappears from their journal and no longer shows reputation progress. The complaints emerged on October 30, two days after the event officially launched alongside Patch 3.2.4.

One player believes the problem may be largely visual, with reputation continuing to accumulate in the background. But Blizzard has not confirmed that explanation, leaving affected players uncertain whether their Halloween rewards are actually safe.

And with a valuable Resplendent Spark among the available prizes, that uncertainty is rather more troublesome than a missing journal entry.

Players Report Missing Goblin Progress After the Event Launch

The latest complaints appeared in an official Blizzard forum discussion started by player Trist on October 30.

According to the report, March of the Goblins repeatedly disappears from the player's journal, while additional Treasure Goblin kills fail to produce visible progress.

Other participants mention seeing similar complaints, although not everyone has experienced the problem themselves.

One response, from forum user Galeforce, offers a potentially reassuring explanation. According to the player, kills may still be registered behind the scenes even when the journal stops displaying the event correctly. The player recommends checking the Goblin Statue in Kyovashad.

That suggestion is worth investigating, but it should not be mistaken for an officially confirmed workaround. Blizzard has not established whether all affected accounts continue earning reputation normally.

The situation is particularly confusing because March of the Goblins already experienced an unusual false start.

On October 27, players discovered the reputation board one day before the event's scheduled launch. They began hunting Goblins, only to find that their kills awarded no reputation.

Blizzard community manager filthierich subsequently explained that the tracker had appeared prematurely and temporarily disabled it until the official October 28 launch.

That earlier problem had a confirmed explanation. The latest reports concern players attempting to earn reputation after the event was supposed to be functioning normally.

Blizzard's Patch 3.2.4 update included general stability and interface improvements, but its published notes do not specifically address the newly reported disappearing tracker.

How to Check Your Goblin Reputation Before November 4

Players concerned about missing progress can perform a simple check without committing to another lengthy farming session.

Travel to Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks and locate the Goblin Statue and reputation board near the town's central Waypoint.

Open the board and record your current reputation total or reward tier. Then defeat a small number of Treasure Goblins and return to check whether your progress has changed.

If the total increases despite the missing journal entry, that suggests reputation is still being recorded. If it remains unchanged, however, the problem may involve more than the interface.

This test cannot establish that every activity or account behaves identically, but it may help players identify whether their own progress is being recorded.

Anyone experiencing the issue should consider submitting a bug report containing their platform, character details and reputation totals before and after testing. Screenshots would provide particularly useful evidence.

Current event guides list November 4, 2026, at 10 a.m. PST as the end of March of the Goblins. Blizzard has not published a separate official confirmation of that deadline, so players should check the in-game timer rather than assume the event will remain available longer.

The reputation track offers cosmetics, crafting materials and a Resplendent Spark, making it an attractive opportunity for players pursuing Mythic equipment.

We previously covered reports of missing compensation Sparks during Season 15. There is no evidence connecting that earlier issue to the Goblin event, but it illustrates why players take problems involving valuable rewards seriously.

Those continuing to hunt Goblins should also remember the Treasure Breach inventory restrictions reported earlier this season. A dungeon overflowing with loot is wonderful until the game refuses to let you visit the Blacksmith.

For now, the most important distinction is between a disappearing journal entry and genuinely missing reputation. Players have reported the former, but the extent of the latter remains unconfirmed.

Hopefully, the explanation will prove relatively harmless. Treasure Goblins are already difficult enough to catch without their reputation tracker attempting the same escape trick.
